A Sign Writer’s Secrets - The Signage Every Business Needs

The essential places your business needs signage

Most businesses when they think of signage they think of the sign on the outside of the building. Its dimensions usually fill the space above the door, or across the eaves.

With over 40 years of experience in Custom Signage and Traditional Signwriting, we know a thing or two about how the best businesses use signage.

Examples of Excellent Signage

Here is a list of what we consider to be some of the best signage opportunities you need to consider:

1. Uniforms and corporate clothing should all be branded with at least your business name and logo. The best in the business include their tagline too if it isn’t too long

2. Custom drink fridges- do you have a service-based business like a hairdresser or auto trade business? What about a staff room? Use your drink fridge as a place to communicate key messages about your business.

3. Windows. If you have a large external window space that isn’t dependant on showcasing products you sell, then why not turn those windows into a giant billboard?

4. Wall Wraps are a very common in the home, office or mancave.

4. A-Frames- you’ll need to check with council or if you are in a shopping centre, check with Centre Management. A-frames drive traffic and if you place a brochure holder on them can be highly effective marketing tool for passing foot traffic.

5. Is your business hard to find? Consider some way faring signs. Approach other businesses, residences or council to create some directional signage that can make locating your business easy. It also helps with car parking and toilets. Think about the questions around the location of things that you get asked in your business and be sure to create a way faring sign that is cleverly branded and tells people what they would like to know.

6. Pull up Banners work in a similar way to an A-Frame, but are great for the interior of a business. This inexpensive signage can be versioned to communicate key messages and campaigns. They also work well for service-based businesses as Zoom backdrops.

7. Fence Signage. Think of any fence as a billboard opportunity. There are a range of options to consider when it comes to fence signage. At Magnum signs we can do an old school painted sign or custom printed sign. We can also digitally print onto a vinyl banner or create a mesh banner so that you can easily take it down or protect surfaces underneath.

8. External Building walls are also a prime space for signage and branding. Usually hand painting or wall graphics works best. No matter what the weather will throw at you, our custom designs on durable surfaces will ensure your walls are transformed into jaw-dropping billboards.
