CANVAS PRINTS - STRETCHING

Stretching a completed painting over a stretcher bar frame using the correct materials, techniques & in the appropriate climatic conditions ensures that the painting has the appropriate tension according to its dimension and consistency of media (paint layers).

Our in house prints on canvas are a quality product. Don’t be fooled with cheap imitations!! We use high quality cotton canvas to make your ‘Print on Canvas’ a masterpiece, using our inhouse Roland Printer with full CMYK colour range.

ACRYLIC PANELS

Acrylic Panel is another option we offer ready to hang on the wall. This comes in any size and is cut with a laser to the shape you are looking to suit your image. We have the option of frameless with stainless mounts and it gives that ‘floating’ look. If you are looking for a frameless picture frame for your office or home, we have displays in our studio for you to view.

UPGRADE OPTIONS

Our staff can offer customers options to have their image printed on many substrates such as mirrors, glass, ACM panels just to name a few. This gives your completed artwork a showcase like finish. We recommend this room when purchasing larger Acrylic Mounting Panels as it gives the piece the additional WOW factor.

Our 6 - 10mm upgrade offers our customer to have their image reverse mounted onto a thick acrylic panel. This gives the image increased clarity and adds depth to the overall panel.

Conservation framing refers to the techniques and materials which are used to safely encase and preserve an artwork in such a way so that the condition remains unchanged.

GALLERY FRAMING

GLAZING OPTIONS

Choosing glass needn't be complicated. Consider how much natural light is in the room. Will there be any direct light on the artwork? Is it opposite a window? Perhaps you prefer the look of one over the other.

MATT CUTTING BY VALAINI

Aesthetically speaking, adding a mat or two around your art piece, gives balance and proportion to the framed work as a whole. Sometimes it can be a mistake to squash an artwork into a frame. Display flair and originality with a flash or an exotic mat, such as metallic pearl. Set a new trend with textured surrounds, available in a silk or woven finish.

Our new Valiani CMC offers alternative, yet equally adventurous, decorative corners. A sample can easily be created to assist visualisation. Gothic notches, arches, or swirls; V-Grooves and any shaped motifs including letters are other options, ovals, circles and many more. Collages or multi-openings are another mat cutting technique our Valiani can do for you.

MOUNTING

The process involves dry mounting onto a strong but lightweight foam centred board which is available in 10mm or 20mm thickness depending on what is best suited to your needs. If necessary, we can apply a laminate to the face of the artwork for protection against harmful UV light, dust and insects.

The visible sides of the board are then finished in either a slick black or clean white edging, which gives a professional finish. A hanging system is provided so the finished product is ready to hang on your wall!

Some others we can offer are Acrylic Face Mounting, Frameless Mounting, Diabond Mounting. We can offer a "split-batten" which is installed on the reverse side of the aluminium panel so the work can be easily hung onto your wall.

*The specialized techniques which are involved in the mounting of photographic works to Diabond® and Plexiglas® are irreversible and permanent. Considerations should be made if the work is of significant monetary, cultural, or historical value. Ultimately, we can only advise on the aesthetical approaches and can recommend conservation framing techniques is appropriate.

Our Standard Clear Acrylic is a lightweight, shatter-resistance product that us virtually impossible to tell apart from glass in a frame. Each sheet has an attractive glossy surface & is very transparent and colourless, which allows the lightest through at 92% light transmission. Coated with tough UV protectors, this high-quality acrylic sheet in addition to other properties such as weather resistance and break resistance makes it a very popular choice for reproducible art such as posters, digital photographs, or art prints. It comes with a protective polyethylene film that must be peeled off before use.
